Thumbs up tein flex coilovers question

whats up everyone .....i searched for answears but found nothing..so i installed my coilovers yesterday bought them used ...i assumed they were 16 way adjust but i counted 27 clicks .. does anyone have these coils. with the same issue...? and does this mean i can go stiffer than 16....what does this mean ...? ... also should i start from the begging clockwise or from the end counter clockwise..? i read to start from stiffest but since it clicks more than it should i'm not sure how to start...thanks ahead for any input everyone....

full stiff is full clockwise. if it doesn't stop when you go clockwise you have slight problems. Seems like the adjustment needle is messed up slightly. I was told long ago by a TEIN tech that you can keep clicking clockwise and hope the needle catches. If not, you can flip it upside down (sucks that you already installed it) and hope the needle catches.

Either way GL

Yes. That is what tein recommends. full stiff then adjust to 8 click CCW, drive the car around to see if the setting fits you and then adjust if needed.

It is not recommended to go past 16. You could do it but you run the risk of dislodging some of the internal adjusting mechanism in the coilover.

clicks 17-27 are to be used with different spring rates (different springs)

stick with 0-16 with springs provided

Where did you hear this from?

If you read the instruction manual yes you could keep going past 16 but you run the risk of damaging the shock. I confirmed it with the tech long ago when I got my CO's. Then again it's not my CO's so feel free to do whatever you want to.
