If you replace your tensioner you should also be replacing you timing chain. A chain that is stretched beyond spec will not tension properly, even with a new TCT installed.

^ This. There is no better tensioner than Billman's (based off the knowledge base on these forums). I made the mistake of buying another OEM one a few years back.

I can't help you with rings but I know who I would ask; Billman.

Hell, he may even have an answer to solving world hunger at this point.
