Sway (stabilizer) bars

Sway (stabilizer) bars
I've been poking around and coming away confused. Some say leave the stock bars in place on my '06; others suggest the aftermarket adjustable; still others suggest aftermarket non-adjustable. . . rear only? front only? Yikes!

My car is strictly street - I was told I could improve cornering w/ aftermarket sway bars.

The suspension is a system...springs, shocks, sways. Some folks do change sways alone, because they are constrained by racing rules (SCCA Stock Class) or because a sway bar change has been tested to eliminate a negative behavior (ap1 larger front sway to reduce oversteer).
If you are just looking to improve handling, it would be better to go with a complete system...like doing a CR suspension swap (springs, shocks, sways). The downside is that the car will have a rougher ride.
Or a tested mod that has shown to improve ap2 handling without compromising ride is to get a set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers.

The gang is right. Moreover, the car stock greatly exceeds most driver's ability to corner... Monkeying with the suspension will not make it handle better. I blow people with highly modified cars away with a stock setup. And I am not an expert.
Take the car to an autocross and win your local class. Then we can talk about which mods are right for you. Save your money for tires and leave the suspension alone.
