Default Stock exhaust?

Hi all,

I recently bought my 2002 S2000 and it's pretty much unmodified except for a new back box, which is pretty loud.

Is it worth finding a stock exhaust and re-fitting it so that it's quieter? My ears are starting to ring.

Do they show up on forums very often and roughly how much are they? Are they easy to fit. I'm no mechanic but I'm willing to get my hands dirty.

Thanks!

For Sale/ Wanted is probably where you need to be.. Or local Craigslist. Stock exhaust can be kind of expensive ($100-300), its a quality system. Never know until you look though

It's not rare to see OEM exhausts go up for sale. Also, the install is very easy, just have to unbolt some things, fit the sponge-like hangers and you're good to go!

Cool, thanks

I'll keep having a look round. It's not essential but I'll go insane if I don't change it soonish.

Worth is always highly subjective, regardless of topic. That said, I would but I'm not a fan of any of the exhausts I've come across. YMMV as with any subjective matter.

Some people who have aftermarket exhausts will give their stock ones away for free because they take up space. just keep your eye out in your local forum.

Or you can buy one of the known quieter exhausts like the Q300 or the Fujitsubo?

Depending on what kind of aftermarket exhaust system it has, you may draw interest in trading it for a stock exhaust system on here.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I'm based in the UK though.

And @suprmonky73 I'll have a look at some reviews of those too. Appreciated

If you're dead set on getting an OEM exhaust, I'd look to get a local one. I'd toss ya mine for free but it's one piece from the cat back so shipping to you would be atrocious.
