Spoon header sucks, best header for the s2k IMO is the megan header. It happens to be the cheapest also but dont be misled by the cheap price. Lots of people have seen very very good gains with the megan header.

most headers are only good with a test pipe or an exhaust. I wouldn't recommend berk, I bought it after I saw at least 5 dynos where it lost anywhere from 2 to 10whp.

The best for the money is the Berk, if you can tune.
The best overall is the J's, if you can tune and have high flow cat/TP + 70mm exhaust.
If you can't tune, the best is the Tracy Sports.
TODA also makes a decent header that isn't quite as expensive as the other JDMs.

I agree with you guys, the j's racing header is the best one for price and gain overall. Most headers will operate at optimum with a test pipe and the aftermarket cat back exhaust. But be careful about test pipe(straight pipe) for street use. It is illegal and a good cop can tell from a distance. You will get a huge $$$ticket. Trust me a friend of mine have a civic, he found it out the hard way. An aftermarket catalytic converter (asm, ect..) is an alternative solution for street use. It is less restrictive compare to oem.
