Spoon Exhaust, whats the difference between there two items?
Ive been looking into getting a new exhaust for my s2k. Anyways i dont know what the difference between these two are
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...roducts_id=289
and
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1308
I want a single outlet exhaust and looking at these two.. well i want the cheaper one! lol but i dont understand what the difference is. Looks like one has a test pipe. However i still want to keep the cat. Im looking for a catback exhaust that i can just bolt on without any mods to my emissions. what do you guys think? spoon!!

As per the links you posted.
Tradition spoon single:
Extensive test at extremely high speed to measure exhaust-gas pressure for flow-volume. Acheived efficient gas flow at high temperature. Small lightweight design reduces weight over stock exhaust. Side note, it's 60mm piping all the way back.
Newer version:
60mm piping at the cat to 70mm main piping.
Spoon introduces a sports muffler for a more subtle tone than the N1 muffler. Designed for a quiet cruising and idling volume with a sporty tone upon acceleration. Does not drone for a clean and well-balance sound. Uses hollow hangers for increased weight savings.
The second one just doesn't come with a cat delete. The front of the car is 2 holes and the rear is 3 so this is def. not a header back system. I have the older one and love it, but it is pretty loud. Buy now, they were over 1200 a few months back.

So you have the n1 exhaust/Traditional Spoon single? And yes i think they are both cat-back systems. If i dont install the test pipe, the spoon N1 exhaust should still bolt right up? So i just drop my stock exhaust and install the new N1?

the N1 is only 60mm and loud, while the new one starts at 60mm at the cat then microphones out to 70mm straight away. So it's pretty much a 70mm catback and is very quite. I have one on my car and love it. Keeps the car nice and quite for street driving.
But to answer your question, yes they are both bolt on. Using the test pipe is up to you.

Be aware, the Spoon tips are small looking. Physically they're smaller than the OEM AP1 tips and definitely smaller than the AP2 oval tips. Now they are fully functional, and the N1 is loud as f@^k, after all who needs a 4" fart can tip. I had the N1 on my old DC5 and after a while, it looked, for lack of a better word... queer.

Well I saw the pictures that gotuning posted for the n1 exaust . It looked nice IMO. I like the look of the stock exaust on my ap1 and was always a fan of spoon. Thinking about throwing on the exhaust and mod it to mostly all spoon parts

The N1 looks nothing like OEM. It's small, but doesn't sound dweeby like other Honda's with similar sized exhaust. The second one you posted will be a better bet if you want the OEM style.
With so many brands out there why not mix it up a little? I never understood wanting to make a car just like a companies race car to drive on the street. It's your money. There are about 30 other exhaust easily available though.
