as stated above, i know you at least have to pull out damn near most of the the plastics from the roll hoops back just to undo the top from the car, i dont even know how to get it off the "bars"

it wasnt that hard considering we had an expert (kikicha) on hand. if possible, i would definately recommend having someone there who has done it before.
in about 12 hours, we had my soft top out, re-installed in kikicha's & my+3 hardtops installed. note: we had about 6-8 fellow s2ki members helping out.

1. remove all the interior from the seats to the roll bars
2. lay on the roll bars on the floor and close soft top to remove interior tray behind roll bars
3. remove all screws and nuts fastening the soft top to the trunk area
4. close soft top (watch out for the rear glass) and disconnect motors and remove all bolts to the frame
5. remove the soft top frame plates
6. remove soft top (it was quite heavy and took a few of us to move it to kikicha's car)

if you are going to install a hardtop after like me, re-install the frame plates, indent the tabs and use neoprene spacers to fill in the gap (since the soft top is gone).
