Fail.
Easy solution is a flat bed

I'm not trying to be a douche. I just want to know since I'm running an aftermarket bumper too and don't want a tow hook out the grill all the time if i can help it.

^ the racing tow hooks aren't for conventional towing purposes. they are used at the race tracks when a car is off-track & trapped in a precarious position relative to where the tow truck can get to the car. agreed though, if you daily drive around with one on the street you're most likely a poser.

Anyone using the hanging style thread in tow hooks, does the actually hook part ever hit the front or rear bumper when the car is in motion. Im afraid that it will just be swinging back and forth knocking into the bumper cover and scratching it up. Hopefully its pushed far enough from the bumpers that it doesnt hit them.
Anyone care to share?
Thanks

poser? lol... i have on in my GSR, came with the car, but since im lowered as hell, they cant get to anywhere solid to tow if i needed it, they used my tow hook once, glad i had it because the guy wanted to try jacking my car up and dropping it on a front wheel lift, which wouldnt have worked and probly sanded my exhaust off, tow hook saved my car. (and the flat bed)

Which is fine, everyone is entitled to their own style choices. But this isn't a functional mod at all and I'd hate for someone to come across this thread and think it was.

The tow hooks that fold down and screw into your stock tow hock position will not swing around or hit your bumper. They come with a screw and nut that you tighten to secure the hook in a particular position (up or down). And loosen it to move the hook into a position you want.

probably b/c his bumper doesn't have a location for the stock tow hook. Amuse and ASM dont have locations for the stock tow hook.
