Review of HKS Hi Power exhaust

i really liked the berk high flow cat with the hks. 5k-6k rpm was actually my favorite sound. overall, slightly louder, deeper, and meaner. drone was unchanged.
highly highly recommend the upgrade. no smell compared to test pipe (that's why i sold my test pipe). slightly more power, too.
i think they're on sale at gruppe-s right now.

currently i have a custom single and that shit is comparable with the invidia in terms of loudness and drone and i want to switch to the HKS and berk tp

IMO, there's misconceptions in this thread:
I have HKS Hi Power Exhaust.
It does not sound V8.
It sounds awesome yes and "one of the best" sounding exhausts for the S2000 - but can not say it is "THE BEST"
I think most people are trying to say it is "the best sounding exhaust for the PRICE".
It does NOT lose power. This is a myth and rumor that just keeps circulating - like what the above poster said about "I always heard it loses power". There has never ever been proof of this with same day dyno before and after installation. If anything, there's proof the other way around with different day dyno that shows a gain (which also doesn't proof anything).
Bottom line, it is safe to say: HKS is a good value sweet sounding exhaust that neither gain or lose power but rather gains a lil performance by shedding a few pounds from the stock exhaust.

Does removing the resonator keep it street legal?
