I just installed a skunk2 catback on my car and i love the sound outside right now . I love how its deep w/ no rasp. But i want to keep it that way- DEEP and NO rasp.

The drone kills however- especially on the highway. I need to fix this while maintaining the invidia/skunk2 signature deep growl sound. I've heard non-resonated testpipes eliminate almost all drone- but i've heard them on youtube and they are RASPY AS HELL! I don't want rasp whatsoever.

So I was wondering... what if i pick up one of these resonated test pipes off of ebay, since they are resonated, will they still rasp? will the sound stay the same but louder? Will it remove the drone...?


I want loud DEEP, less drone, and NO RASP...

resonated test pipe works to do this?

a catalytic converter i would think would reduce drone better than a test pipe...

Cat's are the reason for the drone.... test pipes are well known for eliminating some of the drone.

replacing the resonator will reduce the drone far more than a testpipe will. I bought my invidia used but with the bigger vibrant resonator welded into it, still running stock cat, and the previous owner actual had decibal sound testing and it was a hell of a lot quieter, still loud and deep for most tastes, but way less drone and 0 rasp.

I've heard resonated TP will remove drone much better. I'm thinking of getting one.
