Default Replace OEM ballast or buy new?

So my Headlight somehow got water in it...(thank you snow) and it went down in to the ballast. So ive been looking online for a replacement (ebay) and there around 140 dollars. Is this thing worth that price? Or do any of you have good success with an aftermarket HID kit. Also since im here. Is there a site to get twin HID's in a single headlight on the stock casing.. or are people just DIY and they turn out fantastic haha.. Thanks in advanced.

Don't buy aftermarket. The quality won't be anywhere near as good. Message Enjoy Racing (vendor on here) they may be able to help with an OEM replacement.

seconded. OEM ballast are far better than aftermarket. fits like stock too. no after market ballast is going to fill the hole in the bottom of the headlight like OEM.

you should disconnect the battery, disconnect the ballast, take it apart and drain it. they are pretty sturdy, read on here a dude emptied water out of his and it worked after some drying. worth a try.

You can do what I did. I left the OEM ballasts in the housings, but I pulled the wires out and rewired them to external 55W ballasts and sealed everything back up. You may not want to go the custom route, but the 55W ballasts are quite a bit brighter than stock.

If youve got moisture in the headlight then it will just kill the next OEM ballast you put on there.
