get a PLM header for $450 shipped. it will perform just as well, if not better, than any header that's out there now.

only other worthwhile power mod would be to get dyno or at least e-tuned.

other than that, spend the $$$ on tires or a couple HPDEs/some track time.

Do full new fluids for oil trans and diff. Maybe look at the brakes as well.

I don't know off the top of my head how much 4.77 gears cost but that would make the most bang for the buck and be unnoticeable to just about everyone.

Or save the money for the parts you want down the road. Don't be impatient and end up buying things twice rather than waiting and buying what you really want.

Been looking at the header for a while now...How is their quality control on fitment?

I will probably do that after I smog the S later this year.

Tires are the best mod, hands down.

Idk why people post "sensible" things in these type of threads. Its tax time. Youths just got back the money that they interest-free loaned the government all year.

Yall are suggesting maintenance and tires.

He's looking to blow his cash on something that maybe makes a little power and makes his commute more fun. Not put it into maintenance. Thats what emergency credit card debt is for. Next, y'all will suggest he put it in a 401K or something. Booooring.

I'm assuming his car has tires on it. Street driven cars don't require special tires. And tires cost more than $450.

For $450, I'd buy a header rather than an exhaust. Wtf kind of depressing exhaust can you buy for $450? PLM makes a decent (knockoff) header. If you NEED to spend $450 and make a couple HP, then buy the header.

Though he hasn't said what type of exhaust he can get for $450. Maybe he can get a deal on something decent that's lightly used/probably stolen?
