Default Rebuilding engine

ima be rebuilding a f20c engine here soon. Im going to be rebuilding the bottom end for sure, and Im not sure if Ill do the Head depending on the damage/condition of it. whats thes best bang for buck on parts? I might be doing forced induction down the line, so IF can afford it Id like to get it prepped for that. I wanna keep a budget under 5k if not 4k, if possible. and were the best place to order these parts from. thanks for the help!

I think it's the h22 rods and pistons, with the k24 crank and do a resleeve on the block. with all new gaskets. shouldn't run you more then 2500 bucks. and strokes the motor to 2.4l pretty safely. only thing you should get a piggyback or stand-alone computer.

yes using the stock stuff is better for n/a, but you can buy aftermarket rods and pistons, and even lower the compression ratio if your building for boost.

Is that a reliable set up? Can it take the abuse like a stock f20c can?
Are you familiar with the gains from that stroker setup?

very familar I have read everything i can on it. i am doing it myself this winter.... there is ppl running it n/a and ppl running it turboed. don't know anyone with it supercharged. it can handle the abuse if the motor is built right. more and more ppl are doing it becuase it has held up, and is cheaper then buying a stoker motor "kit"

What sort of gains are there with just the stroker kit like that?

on a n/a engine, with a good tune. about 30-40hp, and 60-70 tq with boost a lot more lol. anywhere from 400hp-600hp, depends on the rest of the build.
