Default rear plexi glass tint

Can you tint the rear plexi on the hardtop like you would with glass? Thanks

I don't think you can. I've heard it either flexes too much or that the adhesive reacts with the plexiglass or something, but don't quote me on that.

Edit: I think you can order it tinted, but I don't think you can add film to it like you can with glass.

You can do it, but it wont last at all. It will bubble up and look like crap in no time. Thats why they make smoked plexiglass ones you can buy.

The best thing to do is buy a real glass rear window and tint it how you want it.

well, it is true, i have the rear plexi and no shop in town wanted to tint the damn thing, but i found some local crazy ass tint guy who did not use a heat gun and tinted it, now i must say it does not look 100% but it doesnt look like crap either, and if it goes bad soon ill just re-tint it.
