Question about Window Regulator
Hello All,
Within the past couple weeks, not one but both of my window regulators decided to give way. To be more accurate the cables had snapped so I went ahead and ordered some new parts off ebay. After installation the passengers side works great, however, the drivers side does not. Problem is it will reach the midpoint and then struggle to get tot the top... sometimes I need to help it reach its mark. Seems it is a problem with the motor as nothing is blocking the track. Of course, this particular regulator was the one that accepted no refunds. Stupid decision on my part I know but here's my question:
Since the motor on the previous part (with the broken cable) is still working, is it possible to simply switch the motor itself and salvage the part or will I have to buy another drivers side window regulator?

I am pretty sure you can. I didnt look too much into it though since I did a full replacement. But i think there were a couple bolts or screws holding the motor on. You may as well try. Worst case, you buy a new one.
