Q300 single is still going to be loud. Everyone loves to say how quiet their exhaust is.
I guess it depends what you consider quiet. Pretty much every exhaust I've heard and owned has been quite loud for daily driving. I currently have the greddy spectrum elite dual which people say is quiet like stock. There is still lots of drone even with a test pipe. So I'd take what people say about how quiet their exhaust is with a grain of salt.

wrong exhaust, sorry
Haha, which exhaust were you talking about, so o can avoid it?
I had the Invidia N1 single. Mine car had a stock cat and stock airbox. It had lots of drone and was just plain loud. After a 6 hour trip my head was ringing for hours and I'm genearally ok with louder exhaust. For perspective I also had a Megan single and it had even more drone and was louder than my Invidia N1 single. On a side note I liked how both of those exhaust sounded under acceleration to redline. I hope this can be some help for you.

Yes, the Megan is CRAZY LOUD.

I just bought a Q300 single and 70mm TP and have a couple hundred miles on it. So, no long term experience but I do find it to be pretty quiet until I get on it. There is mild drone in the 3k-3.5k range but it is really bearable can still listen to music at a reasonably low volume or carry on conversation.

That's good advice. My tolerance for loud is probably pretty standard with others' (if that standard exists). I don't mind loud under hard acceleration, but I don't want a lot of drone and cabin noise when cruising day to day. It seems that the q300 dual is my safest bet in terms of little drone and quietness.

For background on my tastes,I have 2 sport bikes, both catless with aftermarket exhausts. I definitely enjoy the aftermarket exhaust sound, but just want to find the right exhaust to strike a balance between awesome sound signature and everyday usability.

Thanks

That's awesome if that's the range that it drones, I'm usually cruising closer to 4k.

Have you noticed the sound signature change as you've put on miles? Is it getting quieter?

Can you compare it's volume and drone levels to another aftermarket exhaust?

Thanks for the feedback.

I've had my Q300 Single on my car for about 2 years now. It has a deep bass down low but it screams up top. The only thing I don't like about the exhaust that it's raspy as f@#k when you get off the throttle at high RPMs. Other then that, I love the exhaust.

I'm guessing you have a test pipe...?
