Default Protecting Lug Nuts

How do you all protect your aftermarket anodized lug nuts from getting marked up when removing them or putting them on from the socket?

Just looking for the best convienient way of doing this without putting a lunch baggy around each one etc.

Use a 6-point socket to start, that way there is more engagement further onto the flats.

They do make non-marring sockets, but I don't really think it's needed. Take your time and they should last a long time without getting trashed. I assume you aren't using an impact gun

Dont do anything, they are lugs nuts, meant to take abuse. The scratches really don't bother me, but I don't have a show car.

Lugnuts can't really be "protected" they age like anything else imo..

Given you only remove lug nuts for tires or what's behind the wheels, don't drive very often and op for a high tread wear tire.

I used a thicker shopping bag today on my first install of my Rays lugs and it went well.

It's a total pain in the ass though, and I should have used my old clapped out skunk2 lugs instead. I don't care at all about those lol
