Proper Oil Catch Can Plumbing
I got a Cusco Catch can for free from a friend NIB and figured I would put it in the car...
Problem is directions are in Japanese and it's not for a S2K to start (I am going to make my own bracket to mount). Anyways tried a search but haven't really found anything that says/shows the proper way to plumb the catch can. I imagine it is pretty simple. PCV -> Catch Can -> Intake but want to check before I go and do anything.
If anyone has a link or can tell me I would appreciate it!

Well little Google searching netted me this... Car was a feature from HondaTunning Mag.. and I think I have seen pics of the car on the boards here...

If you were going to run it inline like that the correct way would be to have the pcv on the catch can instead of the valve cover and plumb it: valve cover - catchcan and out through pcv - intake manifold. With the pcv still on the valve cover and the intake manifold being attached to the catch can, when the pcv closes the intake manifold is still pulling a vacuum on the catch can and can and will still suck oil up into the intake manifold. The catch can now will also being acting more as a vacuum chamber which they werent designed to be and can cause funny noises when vacuum is applied to the can. Or take the ball valve out of the pcv so it can flow freely without opening or closing. You also may be able to find a barb fitting at Lowes to use in place of the pcv and just remove it.

Funny you say that. After I posted this up I was thinking a bit about it and basically going to post up the same idea. One thought I have was if the orientation of the PCV is important???

If the hoses were at the bottom of the can and their wan't a baffle, then yeah that would happen.
I had a Carbing catch can hooked up like this on my H22 and was amazed at how much it picked up and how clean my Euro R manifold was. The manifold was only ran with the catch can in place(10k miles before I sold it) and it look brand new on the inside.

really hmm i thought it would of ran from the front of the head to can then to the intake tube and not the manifold???
i see that they run from pcv to can then to manifold or is it front of the head then to can then to intake tube
