The 5000K osram cbi bulbs have more light output than the oem 4300k bulbs. Usually 4300 is the brightest though.

here is a side by side of an old oem bulb and a new osram cbi bulb.
Note that HID bulbs lose up to 50% of their brightness after 1500 hours, and new bulbs actually have a breakin time of about 20-30 hours so the ones on the right,,...actually got brighter!!
