Paint cost
I am looking to get wide front fenders and was wondering what's an average cost for painting 2 front fenders factory Silverstone Metallic. Obviously I know it varies from region to region. Also, I found the paint code, but can't find anything about paint prices online.

$600-$750 per fender. I just had my front end re-sprayed.

unfortunately my fender needed more prep work, so it cost a bit more. $500 sounds really cheap. It all depends on where you live. Clarkster, DC I am sure is expensive.

Oh yea, SSM is extremly hard to match right with the metal flake! Took the bodyshop a couple tries to make it right, ended up having to get the entire front re-sprayed to match perfectly.

the short answer: it varies
for those who works in the industry long enough you will notice there's a huge different in "price", but you have to look at it in term of overall finish vs cost
you can get a SSM matched paint in a rattle can for 20 buck, a mid grade dual stage dupont paint will cost you about 150-200 per qt, high end job will cost way more than that.
but the cost of paint is just a SMALL part of the over all picture, factors in those before you even say it's too costly/cheap
1)labor needed(ding, dent, skim coat, filler, fitting, etc)
2)equipment in the shop(water borne gun, heated booth, etc)
3)craftmanship(approved painter, warranty, etc)
4)paint matching(solid color, metallic, candy, pearl, etc)
5)time
you can lay the best paint by the best painter in town in bad prepping and end up getting a crappy result vise versa, you get what you pay for most of the time.
if i am going to spend 250 on supplies for your 600 dollar project, i am surely not going to have my bodyman/prep guy spend 3 day fine tuning your finish, trust me when your wallet starting to suffer, the whole hook up thing goes out of the door LOL
ask the shop go give you the exact brand and line of supplies, the cost differences between the bottom to the top of the grade is HUGE
