there's no stage of ACT clutches.

There are two parts to a clutch kit (actually more, but lets stick with the two main components):
-- Clutch Disk - ACT clutch disk is just a Honda OEM clutch disk that is called an ACT clutch disk. There is ZERO difference in the OEM disk.
-- Pressure Plate - ACT pressure plate is a reworked OEM unit providing approximately 20% better grip over the OEM unit.

Personally, from what I've recommended and sold - go with the Star clutch disk and pressure plate. The PP is a reworked unit, but done very differently than the ACT unit. The disks, well, I can discuss that with you to fit your requirements and application. Just send me a PM/email and I'll give you the details.

I personally went with the Spoon Clutch/PP and flywheel and am very happy with it!

However, I'm sure that the ACT and/or Star clutch is much better than the stock equipment. IMO, the stock clutch is one of the weak points of the car.

I recently installed the ACT PP, and it is a great improvement over stock, I used the latest disc from Honda.
I also adjusted the pedal so there is a shorter throw and engagement is closer to the floor, I'm happy with it, but then again I bought it used from someone who wasnt happy with it . . .

Of course Im not running a SC, or any other major power adder, I will say it feels just like a stock PP just a bit more firm, it grabbs harder but doesnt bite if you get my meaning.
