Default oem style polyurethane lip

So I got a polyurethane lip off of ebay and it was sorta bent weird on the edges which messes with fitment. I'm sorta regretting getting this because I had hoped it would be close to perfect out of the box since I ordered one that wasn't folded up.

At any rate, I read that setting the lip out in the sun will bring it back to normal. Sun isn't so plentiful right now so I would have to use a heat gun/hair dryer. Do I just point at it and it'll go back to normal or do I have to bend it slowly back to the correct shape? What's the process?

Fit it, and heat gun it while its on... that should help form it around the bumper.

BTW which seller did you get it from off ebay?

Thanks! I'll try it tonight.

hmm i'll do a test fit and see. just don't want it to get painted and figure out later on that it's too bent to fit correctly. not sure how well the paint will stretch/bend to correct the fit.

I let mine sit in the sun for a few hours when it was summer. But yes fit it on the car the best you can and use a heat gun and it will get alot more flexible. Once its about right, get the two screws in the inner fender well into the lip. Go buy some 3M double sided body molding tape at autozone, it will help so much. Just put it along the inside of the lip along the whole middle until you get to the part of the lip that raises up. Once you got the tape on get it where you want and just push it against the bumper hard. Thats what I did with mine. Then painted it while it was on the car. I just taped off the front of my car.

Hmm, that's the one I was considering.

Did it come with predrilled holes? More importantly, do the holes lineup?
Did it come with all the necessary hardware?

Disappointing that it came to you that way.
