OEM Air Intake Ducts
So I just saw something like this on eBay, do these thing actually work? It's around $100 shipped though. I've got OEM intake box, but then I have the Mugen style hood with vents, so I don't want to get an intake that has an open filter or anything like that that can take water.
I know it's similar to the Mugen CF one, I know NRG makes a replica as well, around $200ish though.
Would I be better off just cutting some holes into the OEM air intake box?

You don't want to cut holes in the stock box because you will lose vacuum effect, and draw in hot engine air. My take on these boxes has always been that you will gain flow at speed, but lose a bit off the line with that constriction where it passes over the frame rail.

I wouldnt do it, you will probably still have to adjust your hood to get it to fit, and to me it looks more like a restriction than flowing more air. If you want something that will help, get an AUT cooling panel. You remove your OEM radiator guide, and it scoops up and goes perfectly around the opening of the OEM box. This way it sucks in cooler air from the front bumper, other than the hot engine bay air. I had one with my OEM airbox and loved it, but now I have the AUT panel with my FIPK.
