Noise on deceleration after new clutch
About 1500 miles ago I had an AP1 flywheel, Clutch Masters Stage 3 clutch and AP1 slave cylinder installed. Overall the system is much stronger, however, even during break in I've had this rattle-buzzing sound at 3000rpm - 4500rpm. This noise is so much louder in gears 2 and 3 but it can be present in gears 1-5. The noise is not present during acceleration but only when you try to hold a constant speed or decelerate. The noise is much louder when hold a constant speed within the given RPM range vs. deceleration. But during deceleration, you can tell it's still there.
The sound is coming from the transmission bell housing area. Its not getting better, but not getting worse. I've search many times but no case is quite like mine. I checked heat shields and all the standard stuff but nothing seems out of place. I ended up tightening some bolts in the engine bay but the sound still prevails.
Is there a definitive answer to this issue? Is this clutch buzz on a new clutch...? I thought that was not possible. How can I make it stop! lol

What you described almost points to it being the infamous clutch buzz. In some cases [mainly with ap1s], the clutch buzz still exists even when you replace it with an aftermarket clutch [usually noticeable between the 1k to 2k mark]. But I'm not sure why it's much louder when holding constant speed vs. deceleration. It's mostly the other way around. I guess the only way to see is to get it checked out, which is a pain to take it apart again. Good luck to you, and keep us updated.

I guess it would be a clutch masters pressure plate. The clutch came as a kit. Why would I have no clutch buzz with the stock clutch and then have clutch buzz with the new clutch? I have an AP2....
