That is similar to the approach I did for my exhaust, and it is effective for reducing drone. However, many people won't like the way it looks from the rear, since you don't have a muffler can to block the view through the cutouts that aren't completely filled by the tips.

yeah, i can see that looking kinda bad. ap2 rears are so hard to fill right
