Need Clutch/Flywheel Suggestions
As the topic says, I am looking for recommendations (and places to buy) a new clutch and ideally lighter flywheel for my '05, as the OEM one is beginning to give out now at 57k miles. I searched around but most threads are older. Also any recommendations on fluids, lines, or other things that I should have serviced in the transmission while the clutch is being serviced would be most appreciated.
Thanks for helping me spend my money

I'm giving serious thought to a 8.5lb flywheel, how is it driving with it? Would it be difficult for short term daily driving duties?

I have a 8lb flywheel and CC stage 2 clutch. I love my set up. I also have a OMNI clutch master cylinder with a stainless braided line and ATE super blue fluid. This set up is awesome. The OMNI makes the pedal alot shorter. It is different at first, but I like it. To each his own. BTW my car is pushing daily driving limits. I am running super stiff coilovers and Innovative 75A motor mounts. I love my car like this.

+1 for Fidanza
I have the stupidly lightweight Fidanza flywheel as well (it was on my AP1 when I bought it) and after driving it for six months then driving other AP1's/AP2's with heavier/stock flywheels, the difference is crazy. Feels like the S2000 should have an 8lb flywheel from the factory!
The nice thing about it is it has a "friction-shim" that can be replaced instead of the resurfacing/replacing the flywheel itself, and the shim only costs ~$50
I'm using the OEM pressure plate & Excedy HCD916 Clutch disc with mine & it's springs are much stiffer than stock which I personally love!

N/A & basically all stock with the exception of the clutch & K&N cold air intake. Have plans for S/C further down the road, but that won't be for a while.
Like I said, when I first got my S, this is what it had in it.. mastering the techniques of driving it was extremely simple and once I drove a few other S2K's they all felt miserable in comparison while shifting & revving.. I replaced the parts with the same I had, and when I get another S2K in a year or two, the first thing I'm doing is putting in a Fidanza flywheel & better-than-oem clutch disc =)
