My 06 Test Pipe Cel Solution
I bought a test pipe, its a berk test pipe with a built in CEL fix. The website even says 98% of users 00-05 does not experience CEL problems. Well...of course I got a CEL. Apparently the 06+ are more sensitive from what I have read.
I bought a Strutking defouler, it comes straight or angled. I went with the angled...and its been over a week and couple hundred miles (long commute to work) and still no check engine light.
slapped on the defouler, went to autozone had them turn off the CEL and been CEL free since. I honestly expected the CEL to come back after a day or 2 or a hundred miles. this thing works great !

Where did you purchase this at? Did you have to drill it out a little bit or anything?

Autozone does not allow you to borrow their scanners anymore, unless the guy was being lazy last time I asked or it was a rule specific to that branch. I have been going that route for years too.

wow I just looking into the autozone thing. Apparently a new law passed banning automotive places from allowing you to use their scanners. I just the auto industry was upset that we competent are not allowed to diagonse our own cars.
Here is my issue. I have a asura 70mm HFC. As a built in CEL-fix the o2 bung is not actually drilled through into the exhaust stream. My CEL light is on and I am thinking it is ready too cold since it has no way of picking up that much heat. If I could ####ing figure out what code my car is throwing i would be able to figure out if it is reading cat failure or cat efficiency (test pipe code).

Post a link to this "law" you speak of. The autozone by my house still checks and resets any CEL for free. Also, if what you say is true then I guess all these websites selling scanguage II scanners are above that new "law".
