Default Mugen wing functional at all?

Do we have any clue or proof that the Mugen style rear wing will actually make any downforce? I love the style of it and would probably use the risers to add more height. I know the APR 200 wing is functional and I may just go that route. But for some reason I like the Mugen more. Are there any other budget wings that actually are functional? Even replicas? Thanks guys.

I have the sibon mugen replica wing on my car. I had it adjusted all the way down and at about 110-115 it started feeling a bit squirly. Then at the same time I put my spoon rear diffuser on I adjusted it all the way up and it seamed planted all the way to 130. Cant say if it was the spoiler adjustment or the diffuser but I doubt the diffuser does anything for downforce.

Thanks for the reply. I am sure with risers it would work better as well. From research it seems Mugen does actually test parts like wings so hopefully it will work. Such a sexy wing! You should post pics for my enjoyment lol.

Looks so nice! Do you track the car? Have you driven at a high enough speed to test functionality? I'm curious Bc I like the wing a lot but it must be functional on track

Thanks. Yes I do, as often as possible.

I notice it's more stable at higher speeds, but I'm sure taller risers would make it more effective though. Very pleased with mine.

Such a beautiful S So if you had it to do again and were tracking still would you buy mugen again or just get the APR? I can't decide! I want the mugen but not sure how much functionality I will be giving up lol.

Good to hear! How much are you selling for? Have risers? Is it painted or carbon? I couldn't find your for sale thread.

Honestly, I'd go with the Mugen again. I don't like how massive some of the others are, unless it was a track car only.

I have 2 trunks for my S, one has the Mugen and the other doesn't, I don't like the idea of driving all the time with the large wing on the back, but that's just me.
