Someone makes a TB spacer about 1" as well, this increases manifold distance from the TB, smoothing out the air flow path to the first cylinder which suffers from an abrupt 90 degree angle. This is supose to improve overal power. Comes as a kit with a relocate bracket for the throttle linkage.

with just the spacer, i cant say. The port match and throttle body, yes a difference can be felt. I have not dynoed the car to prove or disprove the results though. The car seems to have a better throttle response at take off and mid range. It feels like the car has really opened up.
i did the exact same thing: hondata img, spoon 70mm tb, and port matched IM.

lost 4 ft/lb of tq at WOT at 2000rpms ( which you don't spend much time at ), and picked up about 4-6hp throughout the top end. additionally, the throttle response is awesome throughout the powerband as well. really feels different

i just retuned last week after the install. using e-manage ultimate.

i've got a koyo radiator also though so i can't tell you how much exactly the img is keeping things cooler even though i have defi gauges. i can say that with the koyo radiator and img the car runs at about 172-175 on the freeway. power is always ready too.

I know, I love my throttle response now. I need to dyno. Bad thing is, I have no before numbers and I have other mods, so it will be hard to tell how much each mod has increased or decreased power. I can feel the car is different though.

Quick q on this install: can you get away without widening the support bracket holes underneath?
