Default Lug nuts.

I am in the process of putting ARP extended studs on my car. The lugs that I had with my stock studs were Bull lock lugs with 2 Bull lock locks on each wheel. Maybe over kill with the 2 locks on each wheel, but I like my TEs, a lot. They are only 31mm tall and will be too short for the extended studs.

I need a set of lugs that meet these requirements:

*Steel (for strength and won't fade like aluminum)
*Black
*Open ended if shorter than 40mm
*Comes with locks
or
*I can buy locks that look like the lugs

I haven't been able to find anything... Muteki open SR35s, Buddy clubs, J's racing chromoly... they don't come with locks, I hear Kics R26s break, and damn near everything else is aluminum. I have come to understand that aluminum lugs don't last a long time, strip easily, and aren't good for tracking purposes.

help me out here, I can't drive my car until this is solved.

I would say the Muteki SR35's (35mm and available in open ended). They are great lugs but the only thing I didn't like when I had a set was that color was actually coated over chrome which caused them to be very delicate. Also there were no locks included.

Try Mcgard spline drives with lock set. Google - Mcgard 65557bk. This is the full kit, 16 lugs, 4 locks and keys. Excellent lug nuts.

McGard doesn't make them long enough and they don't have open end types.

Your limited on choices amigo, so your gonna have to compromise with either a closed end or a fake steel or unknown type of metal.

I bought a set of the 1st ones becuase i knew they were steel. The ebay lugs say something like super steel or some BS which tells me that theyre some kind of softer alloy or possibly just aluminum since sellers just copy what the package says and chinese manufacturing doesnt care what they label things as.

In for more info on the Kics R26' open ended lugnuts? Where did you hear about them breaking easily? I'm running them and went through a good track day with the equivalence of 3 track days of track time and they are still in great condition.
