Default lowering springs on stock shocks?

i was wondering how long the stock shocks last after installing lowering springs

i recently got a slight drop w/ swift springs and love the look but i'm worried the shocks will die out eventually?

any input would be appreciated

no way to know, but it helps if the spring rate is relative close to stock, eibach and tein is only a tad more than stock(within 20 percent)

Sooner or later, yes they will fail. When they will fail is really dependent on driving style, miles per year, etc. If you track your car everyday you would wear out the stock dampers quite quickly, if you drove 20 miles a day on the freeway with no corners, you would experience quite a long life with the stock dampers....get my drift?

thanks for the info guys

1 more questions:
do aftermarket shock/struts kits like KONI yellows have to be replaced every x miles considering you drive normally (25 mi a day) and don't track the car.

Your should be fine with Koni's assuming you don't ghetto dump your rig. They are adjustable so you can match the performance of your chosen springs.

i could almost recommend koni for most of the honda but for some reason the koni doesn't have an external reserivor and it's bothering alot of folks in there.

but again, no way to know how effective of the rebound adjusment without a back to back dyno with stock showa damper.

You can easily reccomend this setup as a GC sleeved coilover setup with custom valved Koni's have been used for quite some time on the AP1/AP2 with outstanding results and usually will give the lower full coilover setups (1500.00 and under) a run for their handling money.
