Lowering bass on the Q300 any sugg?
So been riding around with a new Q300 for a couple days.. I'm pretty sure it isn't broken in 100%. I'm enjoying the sound overall, but below 4k it's definitely really boomy or bass heavy inside the cabin. Sound like im listening to a Miami bass low freq test track. Standing outside the car the noise is definitely sounds less jarring. Anything I do to remedy this? I know a testpipe was recommended, but since i live in CA I don't want to give myself any more headaches with the police. Anyone running Berk HFC with this setup able to comment if it reduces the noise below 4k? Any other tips?

Soft top sound dampening liners. I can't speak exactly on the TP, but on my setup when I put in the high flow cat, the in cabin noise decreased a bit. My only thought is that there is less of a bottleneck at the cat, reducing the amount of resonation right under you. Although I have no idea if that is actually the reason.

I had tried my Q300 with and without the Berk HFC and the only difference that I could tell was that with the HFC there is some raspiness at about 4k rpm under normal acceleration and then more in Vtec at WOT. It did not seem to affect the bassiness inside the cabin at all.

Im going to try it with my q300 too. Also a warning for those who track the car, I bought the exhaust used (Ti tip) and the guy I bought it from reversed the rubber hangers so it wouldnt hang as low. I had it the same way for months without issues then went to the track and somehow it melted part of the exaust cutout. I'll be putting it back to stock height now hahah
