I am going to drop off the first "production unit" at the welding shop this morning, so I can get it completed. They will give me a better estimate on the cost for doing 10-20 units, and I will do 1 last test on my car using the finished unit. Assuming that goes well, I will be putting the group buy together this weekend or early next week.
I almost forgot ... since it seems that the Invidia Q300 is such a common exhaust, I decided to buy one. When it gets here, I will build a "plug and play" adapter to bolt my mid-pipe directly to the Q300 mufflers (no cutting). I plan to do the same for the T1R Sparrow, and would consider others.

I don't know if the midpipe for the q300 is different than the midpipe for the dual, but the one I bought is the dual. Does anyone know if the midpipes for all of the S2000 invidea exhausts are the same?

If you made this plug and play with the Q300, I would have a very strong interest in buying one.

Looks like they are different. The attachment is both Invidias single and dual Q300.

You might want to consider just building out a complete single/dual exhaust. call it the "Haymaker"
make it a two piece to cut down on shipping costs, use v-bands to cut down on weight.
IMHO you're going to be challenged rying to make this compatible with all the vendors (nothing wrong with a challenge, just not the best business stragety)
Maybe team up with a exhaust vendor to cut down on operational costs and overhead (like sponsership).
:edit: Some people will be willing to have thier exhaust modified to make this work, but not all. Create an exhaust to delivers all pros without any cons and you sir will make money hand over fist.

This^
You have an awesome product idea and a great market for it but I feel like you are making it so broad that it's going to cost you ludicrous amounts of time and money. If you had your own exhaust patented with this midpipe I think you'd save on costs in the long run and have an extremely marketable product.

I could be wrong, but it would cost so much more money for me to develop single and dual muffler sections that have oval tips, round tips, burned Titanium tips, loud or quiet, deap tone, mid tone, etc.
For me to develop this mid-pipe with 2 V-Bands that allow TONS of adjustability to accomodate ~90% of the existing exhausts that are already on the road is a simple / inexpensive option. I would rather sell 100 mid-pipes as retrofits for $1000 than sell 200 full exhausts for $1500. I think there are way more people that would want to simply "upgrade" their current aftermarket exhaust to make more power and eliminate drone.
