As a quick heads up on how this performs under a bit more duress (read track).
I ran the 1.3 at Motorsprt Ranch in Cresson after having not been on it in almost a year.
My lines were not as good as I recall from last time, but I was running about 1.2 seconds faster on average and my best lap was 1.4 seconds better than my best last time.
A lot of that is the added mid range tq and the earlier VTEC engagement really providing a benefit and allowing me to hold gears a bit differently that I would have previously.
SO all in all, I am really beyond pleased that it is beneficial on the street and the track.
Now to see on the autox next weekend.

I'm guessing most of that cost comes from the conical sections?
Labor is also expensive, since I'm paying full shop rate at the local performance place to have them TIG welded.

Personally i wouldnt trust just your run of the mill exhaust shop to weld these things up. They are stainless and are ment to be a quality finish product just like your catback with nice pretty welds. Not to mention most exhaust shops dont even tig weld anything they just mig it and call it a day.
Going through a performance shop means hes getting a professional welder that probably does roll cages/headers/turbo manifolds and things like that. Going through a muffler shop you are may or may not get a good welder, who does nothing but hack up pipes and goo them back together with a MIG welder in mass quanities.
Not to mention he already said he is interested in taking this design to a higher end performance car line than the s2k and that hes doing us a favor by letting us get our hands on it.

Have you tried contacting an exhaust shop to see if they'd cut you a deal, not only on the rate, but on the cost of materials as well? I know my local guys would cut me a break if I was bringing them a lot of extra business on top of what they usually do. If your shop's not willing to reward you for bringing them the extra business, maybe it's time to find another shop to work with?

BTW, I believe 3 of the 6 units have been delivered, but don't know when they will be installed. I'm still waiting for a shipping address for one buyer, but the other 2 are going out today!

Sounds like mine will delivered by monday...not sure which weekend but I'm shipping out for 6months soon hopefully I get to install it before I leave.
Ill be installing the gernpipe and ballade IM. Probably will have church do the tuning unless I try autowave. Could also verify on racelines dynojet research since I have 'baselines' at both places.

However, I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago and can barely drive w/ a manual tranny yet, so I don't know when mine will be installed. I will be installing it with a Vibrant muffler which I already purchased.
