Lightweight Engine
Does anyone know how to reduce weight in the engine. I know you can at least take away 100lbs from the back with different exhaust and making the trunk gutted. I also want to keep the weight the same with a 50/50 in the front and the back.
Thanks Chris

well u can move the battery to the back that will move 20 from the front to the back. but other then taking things out like cruise control, and your ac system your not going to save a whole lot up front. u can get lightweight pulleys which is about 10 lbs. lightweight flywheel. 10-14 lbs.

You save 10 pounds roughly from the air pump delete kit. You can save about 10 with a header, and maybe 20 with a racing battery.
You won't really notice that much of a difference though. If you do all those and ditch you air conditioning system you start to get closer to 100 pounds, but if its just a street car, why?

Pretty much what everyone else said. Get a good quality aftermarket header, remove the stock intake for something like a comptech (or JDM CF one if you have the money), racing battery, delete the AC, delete cruise control. The big one would be ITBs, you would eliminate the entire intake manifold. However that's pretty expensive. Your car will also run different depending on the weather so be prepared to tweak.

That is true. Although I don't know how to take the A/C out, I know how to do everything else though just not A/C. Does anyone know how to take it out?
Anything else you can think of let me know.
Thanks
