Default Koni Yellow Adjustment question

I just picked up koni yellow adjustable gas struts and i was wondering which direction i turn the adjuster to make it harder or softer. And do hold the bottom nut and crack the top one then turn it and tighten back up or do I just turn the top nut? Didn't really give it a try yet in case I go hulk on the damn thing and break it.

You don't touch those two nuts at the top. All you adjust is the very little nipple sticking out at the very top. If you don't have the knobs, you can just use some pliers. Clockwise is softer, counter-clockwise is stiffer.

This defies all logic. I think my head is going to explode!

Being a KONI dealer I will suggest using pliers is a good way to have your warranty voided. If there is any indication the rebound adjustor has exceeded its travel - which it could do on its own - plier indentations will be reason enough for you to be denied. In fact, over the years the sole denials we have seen were where pliers and impact guns were used. Including cars with literally 100.000+ miles. The knobs are designed to fail if too much resistance to turning is encountered and are a critical safety device. If you want some knobs, PM me and we'll sell you one for $2 plus shipping.
