K&N FIPK Intake on the way
Guys should I add a cooling plate to help with the intake or just leave it that way it is???? Will the plate help get more air to the FIPK??? Any recommendations on cooling plates??? Thanks guys.

It wont do much honestly. You might gain half a hp... The OEM plate has small holes in it already to get air into the stock intake. If you want some people cut out a 2x4" hole on the passenger side of the cooling plate to allow more into the intake. But if you really want a plate just get one you think looks the best. Its mainly for apperance.

It's a lot for appearance. but at speeds of 60+, you can feel the air flowing into the fipk. we checked this when i dyno'd my car; the fans blowing into the engine bay simulate about 60mph.
the hood was open, so i'd imagine it getting the hood closed to get that seal would have an apparent, but minimal increase on hp.
