Default K&N FIPK installation

OK, I'm considering getting a K&N FIPK as my first mod.
Basically the only type of work I do to my car is basic maintenance (oil/filter changes....)
I'm a little nervous about cutting, drilling on my new car.
I have basic tools. Is this something the average knob like me could do myself? How tough is it?
Thnks in advance.

Piece a cake. Should take no more than 10minutes. Make sure you remember where the vacuum hoses go and you should be good to go.

I've never installed an intake on any car before and was able to install my fipk with relative ease. The instructions that come with it are great and it can be done with just basic tools. So long as you have a basic knowledge of stuff and patience youll be set

It's not tough (no cutting or drilling of the car), requires basic tools. The hardest part is just physically reaching certain parts. It does take a lot longer than 10 minutes though as mentioned, unless you're some sort of mechanical prodigy. Took me a couple hours.

^ thats what took me a good minute. Verifying and re-verifying that I was hooking up the vacuum hoses to the right spots.

Not difficult. Sometimes the space is a little tight and so it might be difficult to tighten a nut or two.
