Default K&N FIPK Install

Ok, my FIPK was delivered today and I'd like to install it tonight. I'm looking at the install instructions and just had a question. Will my MY07 have the air injection pump or was this only on AP1s? I want to say I read I down have to worry about all that but I'm just checking.

Nope, no air injection pump on 06+.

I installed my FIPK recently on my 06...you will absolutely love the change in intake sound, especially if your car is otherwise stock. Let me know if you have any other questions...install is fairly simple...worst part is getting the rubber seal on the K&N box...do that before you mount the box in the car.

sweet, thanks

yeah I'm sure I'll fall in love with this on the first drive hahaha

install looks pretty straight forward and easy so now that I know for sure about the pump bein non existant on the 06+ should be easy as pie

also waiting for my voodoo knob. woot!

Definitely a pretty basic install. If you bought the K&N new, you will have lots of left over hoses and whatnot (mostly for the air pump). Like I said, the worst of it is getting the seal to go all around the box properly.
At low RPM and part throttle the car will sound pretty much stock, but open her up and a new throaty growl will urge you on all the way to redline!

The change in WOT note can not be overstated. Night and day.

Just make sure you have a drill to drill the hole on the pipe if it's not already there for the sensor.

Nice work on the video.
I have had my FIPK on for about a month and still crack a little smile every time I step on the gas!
