Default K&N FIPK with AEM Dry Filter

Hey guys, just wondering if there's anyone out there running a K&N FIPK with an AEM filter, and what size filter did you used? I want to get the biggest one that can fit with the hood down.

Thanks for any info you can provide

I'm running a Fujita filter with my FIPK. I was going to use an AEM dry flow but the filter height would have been too tall by my estimations.

Actually the fujita filter is a dry filter requiring no oil. It's pretty similar to Apexi's filter

AEM model no. 21-2039DK

its the 3"x9" filter.

i dont know which years started having that black plastic piece (horn?) by the end of the FIPK filter, but i dont have one there and the 3x9 dryflow filter is about an inch or so away from the engine bay wall. that black plastic piece/horn would need to be relocated with a 3x9 dryflow if your car has it.

it fits fine, no rubbing at all. ive had it on my FIPK for almost a year now. no rub/wear marks, no problems.

at first i ordered the smaller length AEM dryflow filter with a 3" inlet and my top end seemed severely hurt. i bought the longer dryflow filter (9") and it pulls like it did with the FIPK K&N filter

haha i didnt. MY01 didnt have the horn in that spot, although i did have my alarm siren in that exact spot. i mounted the alarm siren up to the metal airbox/heatshield of the FIPK just underneath the intake tube, above the crossmember.
