Default K&N FIPK 63 fit on 00-03?

Does the 63 series K&N FIPK fit AP1's? I know that the 57 series is California CARB legal and fits AP1's, and the 63 series is for drive-by-wire. Is there any mods I can do to the 63 series to fit on my 02?

i called K&N and the guy said i can't use it. of course, all he really did was ask for the part number and probably read it was for 04-07. anyone else know for sure if it would work or not? any how-to's?

gigdy is correct... the only difference is that it's CARB approved, and comes with a sticker saying so (required by law to be visible under the hood..) well, in California, that's a requirement... lol.. Believe me, coming from Cali, being born and raised there.. then moving out here to Georgia, and now with my career field that I'm in (automotive aftermarket/soe lighting), I deal all day long with SAE/DOT/ECE/FMVSSS crapola, as well as state codes... I always use California as a baseline for state regulations because they have the strictest regs on everything!

but yes, an AP1 fipk kit will fit and work on an AP2, and vice-versa... the only difference is that one is CARB legal and the other isn't... if a cop ever pulls you over, just say it's a stock intake hahaha, jk

late.. just my $.02
