I was looking at the K&N FIPK filter, i belive it has a larger area. I have a aut
cooling plate and stock air box. I was wondering "if" the bigger FPIK filter woiuld
work with the stock air box. If there need to be some modification's to the stock
air box would not be a problem, dermel tools work wonders.

The K&N FIPK filter is actually smaller in surface area than the stock oem or the K&N direct replacement filter. The FIPK filter will fit inside the box with no clearance problems. You will have to find or fab a short coupling adapter from the filter (3" ID) to the OEM tube (3.5" ID). If you have an FIPK filter laying around, I guess you could try it. Otherwise, get the K&N replacement or some other brand like the green high preformance filter. (oiled cotton gauze like K&N).
