Default JDM Key

I 've been searching for a new key since the one on my ring is pretty beat. I saw a JDM one but it's listed only for the AP1? Then again I could just get a nice new oem one... but where? what are my choices? is this even worth doing?

I was looking into it and my friend said I'd just have to take the key to the dealer and it would be good to go.

no. look at the ridges, you don't have that. your key has the ridges on the inside.

ap2 key below. ap1 is similar to most house keys (the metal part).

i have the same key that Hiper display. the one from aj-racing is cut or made wrong. either way it will be pricey with the key being programmed.

The one HiPer displayed is for AP2. Why would it be pricey? Have you actually done this before? Just wondering because I didn't think it would cost much, if anything, for the dealer to program the key.

the jdm key will only work for AP1s. the jdm key does not have an immobilizer chip, so you'd have to hack up one of your other keys and transplant that chip into the jdm key. check this thread for how to do it
