just baught a 2000 ap1 s2000 and planning to swap motor. I heard lots of good reviews from Hmotorsonline (located in burbank,CA). I called them today and they told me in order to pass smog i would have to use usdm ecu usdm intake manifold(i guess the japan one breathes more air), im not sure if i need to swap out the throttle body to a usdm, and the sensors. My goal is to make it legal and pass. appreciate you guys reading and helping out one another!

 

Also i heard jdm motors dont have vin numbers on them? Also heard i need to go to the DMV and report the motor has been swap and checked by BAR?
