Swap in ap2 tranny

Shorter 1-5 equal to a 4.3 with a longer 6th

Better acceleration and the same mpg and low rpm when you cruise on the highway can't go wrong. And honestly with the price of J's and the install it may even be cheaper.

It's not pointless at all it will still give you a lot more pick up that's for sure a 4.4 would be a nice setup for an ap2 tranny.

You can still put a different final gear in the AP2. Personally, I would want to get flashpro and raise the rev limiter higher to compensate for the shorter gear. That way you don't compromise too much on top speed in each gear.

06+ has the ability to run flashpro. 04-05 AP2 has to go a different route.

Flash pro and a dyno tune would benefit the car muuuuvh more then the diff and it would be cheaper then shelling out for J's
