Invidia Q300 vs Apex'i World Sport
I just replaced the Invidia Q300 with an Apex'i World Sport 2 on my 08. The Invidia is a nice exhaust, and it fits well and looks nice (especially the titanium burnt tips!)
Honestly, if I was the only person that ever drove or rode in the car, the Invidia would have been fine. It is quiet at idle (just barely louder than stock) and sounds nice and bassy around town. The high rpm sound changes to much more of a snarl, and sounds pretty aggressive.
I have a header on the car, (the Private Label Mfg brand) and tried both exhausts with a test pipe and the factory cat. This may have contributed to the Invidia's noise, since it makes the car louder than the factory header since it's missing some of the factory heat shields.
Anyhow, the Invidia was too loud. I've had several different exhausts on my s2000s (this is my 5th one.) Comptech, Fujitsubo, an older Apex'i World Sport, and some no name single exhaust. The single was by far the loudest. With a testpipe, the Comptech and the Invidia are similar in loudness, the Comptech droned more though, and was louder at low throttle openings.
The Fujitsubo was nice and quiet, but the new World Sport 2 that I just picked up is the quiestest so far. I really like the way it sounds, almost totally stock like at idle, with a nice bassy growl at low RPMs, and a gentle shriek up high... but without being as loud as either the Comptech or Invidia. The Q300 is louder than the Fujitsubo and drones more, although less than the comptech. That is impressive, given that the Q300 has much larger piping than most of the other exhausts. (70mm vs 60mm on the Fuji, Apexi and Comptech.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but if you ever wanted to know whether the Q300 was as quiet as some of the other "quiet" exhausts out there, that's my story!

I'll be buying a Q300 after winter. Car is my DD and I don't want anything too loud, but stock is too quiet. Still searching for a Q300 in-car video...
I heard the Q300 on AP2s has hanger issues. Did you have any fitment problems (canisters slipping off the hangers)?
