^^ so you want high pitch and ricey?
Ive got a KN FIPK, comptech header, 63mm berk TP and Q300, and i think the car sounds PERFECT, if you floor it in first below 2k you get TAD of that ricey bumblebee sound, (only in 1st) but after 3k it sounds great.
I doubt there will be much of a difference from a HFC to stock cat, idk what the difference between TP and stock cat is though, i had the TP on the car before i put the exhaust on. I think the volume is perfect with my setup, you hear the higher pitch of the exhaust, and the MEAN growl of the K&N intake, then vtec hits and you just get goobbssss of intake w/ a hint of exhaust, sounds soooooo goood.
Im not a fan of loud exhausts either, i had a gutted (resonator cut off) HKS exhaust, and i HATED it, it gave me headaches and it was loud and droney.. and just awful. Q300 shoulda come with the car from stock imho, same with 4.77 gears but thats a story for a different thread

Ya i'm getting a GReddy Turbo Ti-C (70mm single) monday. I'm dying because i've gotta wait a few more weeks to afford a TP. I dont mind loud of it sounds clean and classy and the car isn't horribly slow.

im runnin a q300 with a invidia 70mm tp i dont have highflow cats..
but it made it louder yes plus i have a little raspyness that kicks in around 3500rpms but goes away fairly quickly..
i never thought it was all that loud especially at normal cruising speeds
compared to some of the other singles out there and the t1r systems the q300 is not loud at all lol
ive gotten nothing but compliments on it and if you dont like the sound note after the install dont worry it breaks in quite nicely :]

i was getting that same raspyness at around 3500 and then again at Vtec so today i took the HFC off and put the stock cat back on. The rasp is totally gone now and the sound is much more to my liking. And like some of you have said it will break in and take on a different sound so I just need to give it alil more time. Its only been a week. But, so far without the HFC I'm liking it much more.

To the OP...met a guy with this exhaust and it sounded great to me. I'd say keep it the hfc on as well.

Actually I took the HFC off on sunday and got to drive around today with the top down and let me say I love the sound. It's got a nice deep tone and sounds damn near perfect as the revs increase. I now agree that this is how the car should have sounded from the factory. Looks like I'm prolly gonna have a 2 month old Berk HFC for sale soon.
