Impressions: T1R 70R V3 single
Here's a comparison for everyone wondering how loud the 70R V3 is.
Setup 1:
-Invidia 63mm dual
-Berk 63mm test pipe
-Mugen 2.0 header
-Comptech supercharged ~6psi
Setup 2:
-T1R 70R V3 single
-T1R 70mm test pipe
-Mugen 2.0 header
-Comptech supercharged ~6psi
I drove the 2 setups within an hour of each other, so I think I have a pretty good idea of how the 2 setups compare.
Sound
I must say the smaller, dual Invidia was the same volume as the bigger, single T1R if not louder. But the T1R DEFINITELY has less drone. It sounds very similar to the Invidia but sounds more refined. The Invidia was more mean sounding, the T1R is more tuned i guess. It definitely sounds nice though.
Performance
My car DEFINITELY pulls harder and smoother from about 5k to redline. Below 5k it's hard to notice any gains. I can hear a huge backfire when I shift at redline (my car is running very rich right now and is in desperate need of a retune)...I wonder what it looks like.
Looks
The person I bought the exhaust from didn't send that bracket for the middle canister hanger that holds the exhaust in place during driving...so one small part of the canister rubs on the inside of the exhaust cutout on my ings+1 bumper. It's not having any adverse effects. It sits almost perfectly centered within the exhaust cutout though. I guess it looks hardcore with one empty exhaust cutout lol

Word, that pretty much the consensus it seems. Invidias are deafening loud and I don't think they look or perform well IMO. The T1R should surely be a step up from the Invidia in terms of sound, performance, weight, quality, value, etc. I had the Sparrow on my last S2000 and loved the hell out of it. I'm debating now if I should go with a 70R Sparrow, 70R V. 3 single, or go balls out with the 70RT. Awesome purchase either way, I'm sure you'll love the exhaust even more once it's broken in.
