Default How long to install Hard Dog roll bar

I've got my Hard Dog roll bar (double diagonal with lower harness bar) coming next week. How long should I expect it to take to install, assuming I have average skills. I'm removing the roll hops and trim, but keeping the soft top, center console and secret compartment.

it took me an hour and a half when i did mine but all the interior plastics were already removed. the hardest part was cutting to install the lower bracket in the wheel well area.

wow, hour and a half?... i took me 12hrs over 3 days... interior/plastics are easy to remove (e.g. 1hr)... the hard part was cutting sheet metal and lining everything up

its easy when you have someone to help you that's done it before. forgot to say that i had help. of course having the correct tools made the job easier and faster

Bethania says the following tools are required:
- wrenches (2 - 9/16", 10mm, 12mm, 14mm)
- #2 phillips head screwdriver
- Floor jack and jack stands
- hack saw or aviation snips
- belt sander or half round file

Do you recommend any other tools to make life easier (other then ice cold Anchor Steam "straightening fluid")?

hack saw/aviation snips is tough... i used a dremel and some circular grinders made for metal...

ok that makes me feel better haha

Greg, btw... since you've got a harness bar, i assume you'll be using this for the track... if you don't need the seatbelts and are only using harnesses (no longer street legal)... then that makes your life easier too, as you won't need to re-install the the bulkhead

I'll be using it for street and track, and am getting the OEM seatbelt bracket that allows me to remove the bulkhead. Forgot to mention that.

I installed mine in approx. 12-14 hours. That was starting completly stock and trimming all interior pieces to fit around the bar.

FYI, unhook the negative battery cable before you unhook the SRS and you won't get the airbag light. If you unhook SRS with the battery hooked up then you'll have to go through the reset process.
