Default hood hinge/struts

found these hood hinges :https://www.310tuner.com/product/honda-s2000/ but dont know if anyone has ever used them successfully. anyone out there try it yet? i was looking at the tried and true hood struts, but not overly fond of how they obstruct the side access to the motor. anyone got any input one way or the other, or know of anything similar?

I've asked about these here before as well. I never did purchase them, ended up buying Sceince of Speed dampers instead, and I've been very pleased with them. Here's the thread I posted about it:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/1035632-310tuner/

I sent them a few emails and never got a response. I never did try calling them, but if they can't reply to an email in a couple of weeks then forget it...

+1 to the Science of Speed ones. Love them. Mine came sightly bent in the mail but they were fixable and Science of Speed said they had a warranty that would cover that regardless. Quick and easy install just drill two holes in your hood.

I never drilled any holes.......
You just use exsisting holes in the hood, and then remove one fender bolt per side, and replace with the supplied one.

Don't drill your hood - not needed!

I had to drill out the drain hole on mine? I also have an aftermarket hood.. That could be why? Not sure I had to have a place for the circle piece on the piece that bolts to the hinge to recess into the hood so it fit flush.

Have the SOS hood dampers as well. You can't go wrong with this product. By far the best out there for fit and finish. Follow the Instructions as no drilling is required on OEM hood. It costs a bit more than most but the quality is top notch.
